- Approximate city location
Important: Neither your IP address nor the derived location data is stored in our database. This information is only used temporarily during your current session to show you relevant servers. Each time you visit, your location is determined anew without any record of previous visits.
By using our Services, you consent to this geolocation process for the purpose of server recommendations and regional content display.
6. Server Listing Eligibility
CS2ServerList is designed to support smaller, independent gaming communities. To ensure our platform serves this purpose, we have implemented the following guidelines:

Our platform aims to give visibility to smaller community-run servers that might otherwise struggle to gain exposure. We encourage independent gaming communities to list their servers on our platform.
We continuously evaluate our server listing policies to ensure they align with our mission of supporting diverse gaming communities.
We reserve the right to update our listing eligibility guidelines as needed to maintain platform quality and fairness.
7. Server Ranking System
Our platform uses a sophisticated automated ranking system to evaluate and rank servers. Complete details about the ranking algorithm and its factors can be found on our About page.
Legal Terms Related to Ranking
By listing your server on CS2ServerList, you agree to:
- Allow us to collect and process detailed server statistics for ranking purposes
- Accept the ranking position assigned by our algorithm
- Not attempt to manipulate the ranking system through artificial means (such as bot usage or fake players)
- Maintain accurate server information and player count reporting
We reserve the right to:
- Modify our ranking algorithm at any time to improve its accuracy and fairness
- Penalize or remove servers that attempt to manipulate rankings
- Exclude certain time periods from ranking calculations during maintenance or technical issues
- Apply ranking adjustments based on verified reports of ranking manipulation
Visibility and Rankings:
Only servers that are set to be visible on the main page will be included in our ranking system. Servers that are hidden from the main page (but still visible on community pages) will not receive ranking scores and will not appear in ranked lists.
8. Server Registration Guidelines
CS2ServerList is built on a curated approach to server listings. When registering a server or creating a community on our platform, you represent that:
- You are the owner of the server or authorized to list it
- The server complies with all applicable laws and game publisher policies
- The information provided about the server is accurate and not misleading
- You will maintain the server in good working order and update information as needed
Server Registration Limits
To ensure fair visibility and prevent platform monopolization, we enforce the following server registration limits per user:
- Total Server Limit: Maximum of 50 servers per user
- Main Page Visibility:
- Standard Users: Up to 15 servers visible on main page
- Premium & VIP Users: Up to 20 servers visible on main page
Main Page vs. Community Page:
All servers (up to the 50 total limit) will be visible on their respective community pages. However, only a limited number (15 for standard users, 20 for premium/VIP) can be shown on the main page at any time.
Users can toggle which servers are visible on the main page through their server management dashboard. Only servers visible on the main page will be included in our ranking system.
Circumvention of Limits:
Any attempt to circumvent these limits (such as creating multiple accounts to list additional servers, distributing server ownership across related accounts, or other similar practices) is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to:
- Remove any servers found to be part of such circumvention attempts
- Suspend or terminate accounts involved in limit circumvention
- Consolidate server ownership to a single account at our discretion
We believe our server limits are designed to provide fair access to all users while preventing platform monopolization. These limits ensure that smaller communities have equal opportunity for visibility alongside larger networks.
We strive to maintain high-quality listings that provide value to our users. Servers that become inactive or fail to meet our standards may be removed from the platform.
9. User Roles and Privileges
CS2ServerList implements a role-based system to manage user privileges and responsibilities:
User Role Hierarchy
Our platform uses the following roles to manage privileges and responsibilities:
- Member: Standard user role with basic platform access and server management capabilities.
- Premium: Paid membership with enhanced features including increased server visibility limits (see Section 8 for details).
- VIP: Special status granted by Administrators that includes Premium-level benefits.
- Moderator: Trusted users who help maintain platform standards and can manage reported content.
- Administrator: Full platform management capabilities including user management and system configuration.
CS2ServerList reserves the right to modify, rename, or remove any role and its associated privileges at any time.
10. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy of information provided when registering servers
- Maintaining the security of their account credentials
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- Respecting the rights of other users and third parties
- Ensuring that their servers maintain appropriate content and conduct policies
11. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Use our Services for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to circumvent our server eligibility restrictions
- Misrepresent their identity or affiliation
- Interfere with or disrupt our Services
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
- Manipulate server statistics or ranking data
- Use automated means to add servers without authorization
- Engage in any form of service abuse, including but not limited to excessive API calls, DDoS attempts, or automated scraping
- Attempt to reverse engineer or bypass any security measures implemented by CS2ServerList
12. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use
You agree not to use CS2ServerList for any illegal purpose or in any way that violates these Terms. This includes:
- Using our Services for any illegal activities
- Posting or sharing harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Impersonating others or providing false information
- Attempting to hack, disrupt, or abuse our Services
- Collecting user data without permission
- Using automated tools without our consent

- Our plugins are open source and free to use

- The data that the plugin is sending must be accurate and up to date for the server
- Any data that seems fake or manipulated will be removed from the server list
- We may apply a rate limit to the API to prevent abuse
- The plugins are designed to work with our API and are not intended for standalone use
- The information that is collected may or may not be used to show it on server view page or community page
- The data collected through plugins will not be used for our ranking algorithm
- We keep our rights to ban, remove, or modify any data that is not accurate or up to date
We take API security seriously and will take action against any abuse of our services.
15. Content Guidelines
All server listings and user-generated content must:
- Be accurate and not misleading
- Not promote hate speech, discrimination, or violence
- Not infringe on intellectual property rights
- Not contain malware, viruses, or other harmful code
